What you have gotten out of Summer of Love?
Way too much fun. And two books full of summer memories.
Do you feel it's a class you can use each summer?
Absolutely! I have used
Summer of Love two years in a row, and I plan on using it again!

Did it make you better at photography?
I would have to say, yes. Summer of Love got me excited about figuring out my camera - and not just excited about the manual settings, but about the types of photos to be taken: self portraits, night shots, bokeh. This class got me diving deeper into photography, and even though I still have a lot to learn, yes, Summer of Love helped better me as a photographer.
Did it make you more comfortable with art journaling? Art journaling in this medium?
In a lot of ways, yes, it did make me more comfortable with art journaling. Summer of Love was the first time I art journaled in something other than a prebound journal, so it took me a bit to get into the style the class was taught in. But, once I got into it, I loved it! The idea of making a book out of a book was somewhat magical to me. After the class (and during), I started to try different mediums of art journaling, and became more comfortable with experimenting. Somewhere during Summer of Love I had realized that the possibilities of art journaling are endless! And I haven't stopped exploring the endless since.

Any other words?
Summer of Love is a great class. Kara is a wonderful teacher and a huge inspiration. No matter where you are in your art journaling adventures, this class is well worth taking.
